A couple of months ago I purchased a Harmony universal remote control. This remote failed to do what I needed it to do so I returned it to Amazon.com. I had installed the remote control programming software on my computer. Big mistake. There was no easy way to uninstall it, and eventually I used control panel to do so. Their customer service people actually ended up telling me that was the only way. I was concerned at the time because of that scary message that you get sometimes, 'uninstaller was unable to remover all...' You get the picture. I knew this would not be a nice lean removal.
So today I have an email from expedia that I want to click on a link for. Guess what comes up as I click the link. I get bits and pieces of the logitech installation software which for some reason control panel could not remove, and Logitech does not provide an unistaller.
I am sick and tired of all of these manufacturers needing to hijack unnecessary parts of individual computer systems to install spyware, or whatever other dishonest purpose. I would advise everyone to avoid any manufacturer who does this. Avoid Logitech products at all cost.
