The lack of support to US military serving overseas is more than disappointing. Upon initial activation all seemed well. The country I am stationed in has blocked the vonage broadband service. Realizing this is neither my fault or nor that of Vonage I requested relief from the terms of the activation agreement or at least suspension of service and charges pending in counrty policy change. This request was subsequently denied on 3 occasions.
I continued to make payments and to live up to my part of the agreement, little option here of course. The cost during non-use $180.
Some additional problems were:
VERY LONG wait periods to assist getting service and address complaints. This cost was very high due to the wait times and multiple transfers to technicians.
Someone within the US was also using the account phone number after initially trying to cancel the account. No support from company to address illegal use. It appeared the number was re-issued after calling about problems or security within Vonage is not where it needs to be regarding unauthorized access.
