I entered a website looking to purchase and download a software that I need for my PC and found a site that offered unlimited downloads for a flat rate of $27.80.
I gave them all my info., and supposedly became a member. Well the total price came out to be $52.80 which they didn't reveal to me till after I had submitted. They added other stuff that I didn't want.
Immediately I went to login to the site so I could download the software that I needed and the login kept saying that there was an error in my E-mail/Username or Password, I couldn't get access no what I tried.
I went to my E-mail to see if there was a confirmation # or a congrat's note or some thing, but there is nothing in my E-mail. I did however print the page showing the amount of money I paid them and how it will appear on my credit card as MYDOWNLOADSITE.com.
Tomorrow morning I will go to my bank in an attempt to put a stop on this withdrawal but I fear It might be to late. I'm concerned because they have all my credit card information.
I'm over 50 years old and I should have known better. If there is anyway that you could help me and victims like myself, I'd deeply appreciate it. Thank You Sincerely
