I signed up for this company's 'free trial' period and was told that I could cancel as long as I did so within 7 days or something like that.
Well, when I called their phone number to cancel (way before the deadline), I got only a voice mail message that tells you to press 1 for... 2 for sales... 3 for customer service, etc. Once you press one of the selections you get nothing but dead air.
Also, when I went to their website, that worked when I signed up, I also found that it has only a webpage (home page) and nothing else.
Although this company doesn't seem to exist anymore, they somehow have managed to hit my credit card 3 or 4 times in the past few months. Luckily my bank, Wachovia/MBNA, has been very helpful, and have, so far, refunded all of my money.
I plan to talk to the bank tomorrow and find out who the 3rd party ACH company is and will proceed from there.
I just want to stop them from hitting my credit card, otherwise I'll just have to close it and open a new one, I guess. What a hassle!
