Ripoff UPDATE: UPS Attempted Delivery=DAMAGED, so REFUSED!

On 09/29, Shortly after filing and printing out my original usacomplaints.com, above, I was emailing Mercantila to provide a link to my report, when my doorbell rang. It was UPS trying to deliver my package!!!

Thankfully, I brought my usacomplaints.com printout and my latest UPS Tracking Report with me to the door—both came in handy.

First, I let the driver read my UPS Tracking Report, then I gave him my printed usacomplaints.com to read & take back to his superiors. I told the driver I had already called UPS to have them return the bed to the sender, since it appeared it would not be delivered to me.

Then I took notice of the box he had for me. It was obviously damaged beyond repair—both ends of the tall, skinny box were wide open, with frayed bits of wood sticking out. The box also showed signs it had been broken nearly in half at some point during shipping. I was shocked at the sight of it.

So, I said, "Even if this product had not been severely damaged in shipping, I would still be refusing it now, after what I'd been through the past few weeks. But, the damage just adds insult to injury. Please take this back to the sender, as I refuse to accept a package in such a state."

Then, I went back to my computer and finished my email to Mercantila—including the info I just wrote above!
