Ripoff dishonest business practices

On july 16th, i decided to cancel my aol account because i thought the 14.95 price was too high, since i already pay for cable highspeed. I called aol and was offered a plan for 4.95. I asked why they did not offer the 4.95 plan when i first called to tell them i had changed to high speed i was told that the plan "was new that day". I still told them i wanted to cancel.

After thinking about it, i decided to keep the aol account. I just phoned them, july 24, and requested a reactivation of my account. (it was to be canceled on the billing date of july 27) after much discussion with someone whose english was difficult to understand, i was offered two free months as a reward for the reactivation. The person then asked me to hold on while they checked with their supervisor to "get permission" to reinstate me. She came back on the phone and told me i would be reinstated with a charge of 10.85 a month. She said the 4.95 plan "no longer was".

This is obviously a rip-off. Something should be done about the business practices of aol.
