I purchased an item from Tigerdirect.com which had a $15 rebate associated with it and I was directed to onrebate.com. I filled out everything I was instructed to and submitted my rebate and required information. I received two checks in the mail for $15 and at the time did not recall what they were for but cashed them both because that is what I do when I receive a check from someone.
I then found out that my bank had charged me a $6.00 fee because one of the checks was refused for payment. I contacted onrebate.com and they told me I was only supposed to cash one of the checks. They had sent me two checks with the same check number. I was supposed to know this? I then asked why they would send two checks knowing that only one should be cashed and got only a response saying they would not reimburse me for my bank charge. I then asked to be contacted by a supervisor and got another email that just stated they would not reimburse me.
Very poor business practices in my opinion and quite honestly, I am not sure whey they have a customer service group. So my $15 rebate is now a $9 rebate. Thanks onrebate.com.
