I recently discovered uproar.com and because they have a free Family Feud game available to their members, I signed up. Today I received my phone bill in the mail and to my surprise, there was a charge on my bill in the amount of $8.43 from a company called Agora Solutions/Integretel for a supposed "Agora Voice Messaging 1X Set Up Fee."
I was confused, as I don't have voicemail nor had I ever signed up for any type of voicemail. So I called my phone company, who told me to call this Integretel company for more info. I called Integretel and they told me that I supposedly authorized this service through a website. I asked what website it was and they said Uproar.com. I had NEVER authorized or signed up for ANY type of service through Uproar.com... I only played Family Feud... That's it.
I am reporting this because I feel Uproar.com used my personal member information and committed fraud with it. Members of Uproar.com - BEWARE. Read their privacy policy THOROUGHLY unless you don't care what they do with your personal information or who they give it to. People who are not members of Uproar.com, stay that way for your own sake. I have since written Uproar.com and requested that my account with them be terminated immediately. I'm awaiting their response.
