I had been using this company for several years as my DSl provider. I was on a month to month charge of $49.95 per month.
Recently, I called to cancel and was informed that there was a $250 cancellation fee. When I asked why, since I was on a month to month, they replied that they had sent a POSTCARD to me in Feb stating that they were changing the agreement, and that if I didn't agree, I had to cancel immediately, otherwise, I would go on a yearly contract. I NEVER received this postcard, nor did I ever AGREE to this contract. And I NEVER signed anything. I informed them that the DID NOT have authorization to charge my credit card for ANYTHING
They then proceeded to charge my credit card for the next month, then cancelled my account and charged my credit card for the $250 cancellation fee!
These guys are absolutely sleazy - stay away!
