Layoffs... Justice is done, but too late for loyal employees abused & mistreated Thanks for the great service here at usacomplaints.com

I previously reported inappropriate employee firings by Ikimbo. I'm glad to report that justice has been served but a little late to help the Ikimbo faithful and believers. I'm just glad Ceo. Edwin Miller and his croonies were eventually discovered and dismissed themselves. It's too bad they were allowed to destroyed a great company. Thanks for the great service here at usacomplaints.com Here is a report of the ultimate dismissed employee at Ikimbo written by the Washington Post. Good Luck Ikimbo!!!

IKimbo Halves Workforce, Names New Chief Executive

Three-year-old Ikimbo Inc. Of Herndon, which makes instant-messaging and file-sharing software, has replaced its chief executive and cut its staff in half.

Edwin Miller, who took over for company founder Jamey Harvey in December has left IKimbo, which now has 25 employees.

Miller, 32, said he and the board for the past two months have analyzed the future of the company and his role with Ikimbo, and decided Miller should leave. "It was time for me to do other things, " said Miller, who is now job-hunting and said he would like to work next for a larger company.

"The board determined it's time for a new leader, " said John Backus of Reston venture capital firm Draper Atlantic, one of the company's funders.

That new chief executive is Todd Bramblett, who most recently was Ikimbo's chief operating officer. Bramblett joined Ikimbo in 2001 and was previously chief executive of Aspen, a now-defunct applications service provider in Washington, and before that was director of finance for Sunrise Retirement Homes.

Ikimbo has attracted backing — including about $10 million in a third round last summer — from a wide variety of investors, including MRW Capital (an investing arm started by Virginia Gov. Mark R. Warner), Riggs Capital Partners, William Blair New World Ventures and Steve Walker & Associates.

In announcing the move, Ikimbo also said it intends to raise $5 million to $10 million in additional capital, a round it hopes to be completed by the end of this month.
