Submitted a complete and flawless HP Rebate form as required. The HP Mesa AZ Rebate Center denied the $50 rebate. When I contacted the center and escalated the call to a Call Center Supervisor (gave name Diane, but sounder like a man and responded to "Sir") he stated that HP ships discontinued printer products or products for liquidation to Costco. He stated that Costco is a memebership club and therefore purchases from Costco are denied. The HP Rebate form made no reference to this fact or any reference to exclusions. The Purchasing Agreement between HP and Costco that allows HP to deny Costco members is ill-conceived and a ripoff/sham to members. I'll contact the HP Center several times (costing HP money) to get a pound of flesh. I am returning the printer to Costco and will buy a Lexmark elsewhere to get a couple more pounds of flesh. HP/Costco — you've missed the mark.
