No 1 Discount Tax Return Service LLC is listed on the IRS. Gov website for eFile of Federal tax returns.

Used their online questionaire and accurately entered required information and reviewed each page again before completing the process for my 2005 Federaql return.

For some weird reason when their software efiled a return for me it showed the amount of money that Social Security had witheld for taxes in 2005 but entered 0 as the amount of payments received by me from SS. What is weird is that this is a REQUIRED FIELD on their form 1040 SSA and I confirmed that I had entered the correct amount in that field.

Their miss calculation resulted in about a thousand dollars in excess return which I now have to find a way to correct with the IRS. And of course return with any penalty, if there is one for this.

Their site DOES NOT SHOW THE RETURN BEFORE IT IS FILED, a MAJOR problem. The efile return can not be stopped if they make a mistake.

I paid a fee to ask via email why this mistake occurred and how to resolve it. They do not even send you a reply to your supplied email address, you have to go on to their web site and check there for any answers. I did get a reply from someone named "Steve" simply saying they were looking into it. There has been no follow up, there is no physical address, there is no phone number for them. I must pay each time I ask if they have found the problem. They want an additional 29.95 to speak to someone on what they call "online chat." Why do I know it will be the same "Steve?"

Even if my return had been done correctly, this site is one to be warned of. It claims to be free for returns under 50,000 adjusted gross, but there are numerous items a person runs on their site which will cost additonal money. Is this site set up to generate errors so they can charge the 29.95 to resolve them? In my experience it would seem so. Will they pay to corret their error and pay any penalty, no mention is made of this online that I saw... BEWARE!!!

Why, oh why, did I not go to one of the well known sites?
