H&R Block
Holding a return for days with no explanation

I recently filed for my taxes using H&R Blocks online free at home system, while for the most part I was very satisifed with the process of the return, the simplicity of the process and of course the refund amount. As I clicked efile and finishing filing the federal return, I was told that with in 24-48 hours the return would be processed and an email would soon follow stating what to do next. That has been over a week now and the IRS has no record of the filing.

So the email that was provided saying that my tax return has successfully been filed with the IRS was nothing more than a joke. Upon calling the Customer Support number provided I recieved not just one answer but three different answers to the same question. Why hasnt my return been accepted. The first time I called I was told that there was no "real" problem and that I needed to contact the IRS to see if there was a problem with the return.

Thats when I contacted the IRS and was told that they have no record of the return. I of course called H&R Block back and was told that my return was rejected (even though I had never recieved an email to this and the IRS had not recieved it). After asking as to why I never received an email stating that the return was rejected or as why it was rejected with what to do now. The new response was that the IRS was updating their software. I asked to speak with a supervisior who couldnt help meor answer any of my questions as to why the return was not sent to the IRSin a timely fashion nor could the supervisior answer as to when the return would be sent to the IRS for their approval. All her response was that we are just techincal support.

So I have foundthat my return is in limbo and there is no guarentee that the return will ever make it to the IRS. With no real answers being answered this online version is certainly looking more and more like a scam to me.
