I am writing in great detail to uncover a specific computer scam.
I have specific contact information about the group Movieland, Mediapipe and Digital Enterprises (in California) and Cinemas Online and Theatres Online in (Britain).
I know that you have had many complaints about this fraudulent, pseudo website/company.
Therefore, I am including all contact information which I have dug out.
I also included email addresses of the California Attorney General, the United States Attorney General and the British Attorney General.
For your own benefit and that of all consumers who have been ripped by this company, everyone should write to these entities and lodge complaints.
If we all don't pull together and try to get rid of this fraudulent company and computer scam, other people like us will also pay the price.
This fraudulent company is called by various names including Movieland, Mediapipe, and Digital Enterprises (here in the US), and goes by Cinemas-online (or) Theatres Online (in Britain).
They secretely invade private computers and without authorization install their pop-up ad.
This pop-up says, "you have had your three-day trial and now you are required to pay the monthly service charge." (I paraphrased this statement, it is not a literal translation).
This obnoxious and unwanted pop-up is impossible to delete. The only way to delete it is to shutdown the computer. Nowhere on their website is any visible contact information, no phone number, no email address. Nothing.
My husband went into our computer, found their information and deleted it. However this was not a permanent deletion.in only a few days, another popup arrived into our computer. And again it was impossible to delete without shutting down.
This is an invasion of our privacy. Movieland claims that the only way to install this website is to follow three steps; in fact they claim that the computer owner (in this case, me and my husband) is the only one who can install it. NOT TRUE!
This is spyware in the worst possible scenario with no way to contact them to tell them to stop.
I went to Google and typed in "movieland contact info" and what I found was your website (Ripoff) which included the fraudulent Movieland information.
I found a phone contact (866-231-5359) for Movieland.
I called the number and spoke to a man. I asked him if I had reached Movieland and Digital Enterprises which he affirmed.
I told him in no uncertain terms to take their website off our computer and never send it back again.
He told me that there is no way to remove it because they didn't install it. He said that the only way to install it is by the consumer.
I told him that he was lying and he knew he was lying because we did not authorize or install this obnoxious program.
By this time, I was actually began screaming because he was lying through his teeth. It was a glaring, staring lie.
He actually had the nerve to tell me, "you need to take better care of your computer." When he told me this, I became even angrier and screamed even louder.
If you knew me, you would understand that I am not ordinarily a screamer. But his unmitigated gall and monumental audacity infuriated me.
I demanded to know where the office is located. He told me that the home office it is located in the UK (England). But when I asked him if he is in England, he told me that he was in the United States but refused to tell me what state.
Finally, after screaming at him about the fraudulent attack on our privacy and in fact telling him that I am going to contact the Attorney Generals (of California, the US and the UK), he told me how to find the contact information, which is so deeply buried that it takes exact knowledge of where it is to be able to find it.
The casual user (computer owners like me) can not find it easily.
I was finally able to send a message. I told them in no uncertain terms to never send it again to our computer. When I had pushed the send button, another dialogue box popped up, asking if I would like to remove it forever. Of course I said yes.
This not withstanding, last evening, my husband again located their information in our computer. There is no way to delete it; they have blocked the deletion.
We are definitely NOT satisfied. I Googled for contact information for this fraudulent company. Not only did I find your Ripoff site (which listed this address and phone number in California), I also found their physical address in the UK, which I have listed below.

For the sake, sanity, and privacy of all consumers, I hope that the can find a way to stop these crooks.
I wrote to the US Attorney General, the Better Business Bureau in California and the British Attorney General to lodge this complaint. I gave them all the contact information of these crooks.
Everyone who reads these message on the complaint site, needs to contact these attorney generals and tell them in great detail what the crooks are doing.
We all need to pull together to stop them from harming other people.
