This is evidently a new alias for E-Commerce Network, Global Pharmacy Group, Millionaire Web Club, etc. Global Gateway Group is registered as an Arizona limited liability corporation, number L1184862-8, with Articles filed with the state on 2/25/05. They represent themselves as "being in business since 1998." Marvin Q. Wilson is the registered agent (owner,) of the company. Name sound familiar? Also watch out for Mike Nunley, Mark Tepper and Jeff (sorry, I didn't get the last name.) My story begins on January 18.
Mike Nunley and Mark Tepper promised me a Web-based pharmacy and the opportunity to make "thousands of dollars" selling medicines. These are drugs supposedly manufactured under US license and shipped from US warehouses directly to consumers placing orders. Supposedly, you as the seller, never actually handle the merchandise, but collect the money and are paid a commission of each order. Their pricing was based on Mexican pharmaceuticals, however. I knew selling foreign manufactured medicine wasn't kosher, but played along until I found out who they were.
For your money you get a Web site (maybe,) and pressure to buy "advertising". So, you might get a website advertising something illegal, or that would rip off the unfortunate consumers who might place orders, and maybe end up in legal trouble. Or, you might get nothing.
I wasn't told that this company would be billing my credit card as "Integrated Digital Marketing" until after I gave them an order and my credit card data.in other words, I could NOT check them out before I placed an order.
Reputable merchants do not use aliases, and they always verify an order placed by telephone solicitation by another phone call. These guys didn't confirm the order. When I called Global's number to cancel the order, within 2 HOURS of placing it, I was told Mike Nunley was "out of the office" despite him having told me 2 hours before that he would be in for several more hours if I had any questions.
I had already contacted my credit card company to contest any charges. My card company was willing to investigate the merchant for fraud if the charges posted to my account. I told the numbskull who told me that Mike Nunley was out of the office that he'd better find someone that minute to cancel the charges, as I had already reported the attempted fraud to the credit card company, and would also contact the Arizona Attorney General's office if they didn't cancel it. Suddenly, he was able to catch Mike "on his way out the door." The order was voided.
But, today, the 19th, Jeff called me claiming to be their "advertising manager" or some such, no doubt to try to sell me something else! I told him the order had been cancelled the previous day. He seemed suprised.
So far, no charges have been posted to my credit card. I am among the fortunate ones, apparently. See scams reported on 6/12/05,8/3/05 and 9/30/05 under Integrated's name.
