I purchased a Dell desktop. This particular model was almost $5000. Before discounts. Dell did a recall on the motherboard. I only found out about the recall on their forums & message boards about 3 months after the recall. When I phoned the company to send my stuff back they told me so sorry! The recall was over and that the computer "would" operate without this upgrade and "fix", just not as well. They have my phone number, address, and email address. It would have been very easy for them to contact their customers to alert them of this recall but the only place they posted it was on their message boards / forum area.
