I bought four mini gas powered scooters in December from Scooter Selection online. I was guaranteed delivery by Christmas. The scooters arrived 2 days after Christmas. Not much fun showing the recipients of the gift a picture online instead of giving them the present.
Scooters arrive late and when we started unpacking them, the gas tanks on all of them were crushed. I immediately started calling scooter selection on the phone as they were being unpacked. Busy number, guess I wasn't the only one with a problem.
I continued calling for 2 hours and finally got someone to answer the phone. They immediately put me on hold and I stayed on hold for over an hour, I finally hung up. Started calling again and the phone was busy until they closed.
I continued calling over the next few days and I finally got someone on the phone (got put on hold again). I had to e-mail the company to get a response. It started looking as though they had caller ID and wouldn't answer my calls. They said the would send the parts I needed and I told them that 2 of the choppers were not the color I had ordered. They said they didn't carry black ones so I got chrome. I can live with chrome. The parts they sent were black, I am assuming they must have had black at one time or they wouldn't have had black parts. The parts were not the parts I ordered.
I e-mailed again, they said get a list of parts together and we will ship them to you immediately. It is now December and I have not received on single part yet.
I have continually e-mailed and gotton no response. Finally sometime in Jan or Feb I e-mailed and the e-mail was sent back to me. It looked as if they had gone out of business. They finally popped back up again a couple of months ago. I guess my fourteen hundred dollars that they ripped me off had ran out. I am sure they have ripped off many more people this year.
Recently I e-mailed again and for once I thought they were going to send me the parts needed to fix the scooters. They answered my e-mails promptly and I thanked them for finally helping me out. Guess what? When I sent the list of parts no one contacted me again. I have e-mailed them 3 or 4 more times with no response. Finally I e-mailed and told them that I would list them on the internet as bad to do business with if they didn't respond. They didn't bother.
I paid for four scooters as Christmas presents and the people that were to receive them have not been able to use them yet. It has been the most embarrassing thing that has ever happened to me. One of them was bought for a cancer patient. The mufflers are falling off, the gas tanks busted, headlights broken, fenders scratched and the list goes on and on. Be careful about who you purchase any type of scooters from.
