Like many small business people, I rely on e-mail for a large portion of my communications.
At some point, NameSecure started rejecting about a quarter of the e-mails being sent to my domain. They did so with no warning or indication to me. Essentially, they told about one in every four customers of mine that I was no longer in business.
NameSecure was hosting my domain names, forwarding e-mails from clients. They were a small company that provided good, if limited service. Essentially, they didn't do much, but what they did, they did well, and it was all that I needed.
Network Solutions was the "big guy" in the domain business. When they bought NameSecure, they cancelled the 24/7 tech support (that they still advertise) with no warning.
Network Solutions has been pretty careful to avoid bringing attention to the fact that they now own NameSecure.
Essentially, the big guys couldn't beat the little guys, so they bought them out and then degraded the service.
