This is only 29.00 so it is no big deal but I am upset just by the principal of the matter.
I cancelled my service via email because the website has no indication of how to cancel. I never recieved a confirmation and I just kind of forgot about it until I was billed this month. I contacted the company again via email and explained my problem. They refused to refund my lousy 29.00 even though I assured them I was certain I had cancelled. There records will show that I never once used the service or even logged onto their website last month.
I know 29.00 is not a big deal but companies who have horrible busniness practices like this should be outed to the public. I am going to post about my experience eveywhere I can and tell everyone I know that this company does not take care of its customers.
It is unfortunate, becuase the service was ok while I used it. I am sure I will have use for an internet fax service in the future. I recommend that no one use "Data on Call" or "Unifax". DO NOT USE www.dataoncall.com!!!
They say I never cancelled, I am sure I did. Regardless, in the interest of good business, wouldn't you refund a lousy 29 bucks to a customer if they said they cancelled and had not used the websote or service even once?
The reason this irks me so is that I am an honest guy and it is not even about the money. I hate businesses who screw the consumer for every nickel and that is what "Data on Call" aka "Unifax" chooses to do.
If that is their idea of customer service, then I do not recommend anyone use them for anything.
