Hersh Corp, online address at www.hershonline.com, offers and promises an array of online tools to enhance your online business and site-speed.
Problem is, they don't work.
We have been hosting with them for nearly 8 months. Over this time, our site has crashed at LEAST 20 times. Our site has over 13,000 members, many who come back daily to check updates and member news.
Each of these times, their head programmer, Shrenik, has told our programmer that this issue is because of our using MySQL ('it's an open source code (duh) and it's prone to worms and bugs' - it is, and no it's not). Each time, we're told by Shrenik, who is an IDIOT, that this problem is due to our site, although, our site ran PERFECTLY when we were with Rackspace. Shrenik, Dale Hershowitz and their cast of clowns (seriously, call them and try to get a 1. Manager on the phone 2. Straight answer from them or 3. Anyone but some ghetto versions of 'Nell') have an answer (no good ones) for everything.
Finally, today, for the last time, our site crashed for FIVE HOURS. Anyone familiar with site ownership knows that 5 hours to be down is ridiculous, ESPECIALLY, if after being alerted of the problem, you are able to have the site back up in 10 minutes. IT MEANS YOU'RE NOT MONITORING YOUR SYSTEM, AND YOU HAVE NO ALERTS TO SIGNAL PROBLEMS!
What's more problematic, however, is that when you call to report problems, to discuss these issues that are directly EFFECTING your revenue and ability to do business - they will not (Ghetto Nells) put you through to Dale, Shrenik, or Janeane.instead, they tell you that Dale is on a conference call or in a meeting, Janeane is following up with a client, and Shrenik is, absurdly enough, working on your problem with another Tech.
We pay these useless morons $500 a month for their shitty services. That's just to keep us online, which they quite often fail to do.
I finally got ahold of Shrenik's cell phone number, and, while PRESSING him for REASONS, legitimate ones, that our site has continued to crash, and not letting him bullshit me, he HUNG UP on me.
That's right. Hershonline's customer service resulted in a HANG-UP, when pressed for answers.

They suck and they need to be destroyed.
