Purchased dell computer september for $1,398.00.in august computer failed dell tech. Told us over the phone that we were going to need some new parts.
So we ordered the parts at a cost of 280.00 to find out the next day did not need them. Called to chancel already sent.
They told me when i received them to call and they would explain how to return them.
Received a couple days later called dell ad they sent some one from dell to pick them up. That was 2 years ago and i can not get any one at dell to this day september if they ever credited my account for the 280.00.
Here is where it gets interesting purchase price $1,398.00
September as of august balance $1,298.00 after they added the $280.00 for parts $1,604.00 since then have made payments in the amount of $1,2046.00.
Have made a total of $1,702.00 in payments on a $1,398.00 computer. This part is good as of september 05 my balance is $1,633.22!!! They were kind enough to put $304.00
towards the balance of $1,398.00 after 4 years of payments.
But owe $235.22 dollars more than the purchase price of $1,398.00
After filing several complaints over the past 2 years and calling to inquire about my account. Sunday morining august 21 at 8:30am i got a phone call from dell wanting a payment.
Told him payment had already been made 2 weeks ago. But while he was on the phone i thought i would see if he could tell me if they had ever credited my account for $280.00.
Well needless to say he did not want to tell me got rude started yelling give me a payment over the phone. I ask was he going to help me and he just kept yelling so i hung up.
A week later i get a letter from i.C. System telling me dell want there $1,633.21. So i called to dispute it instead of helping to reslove this matter the man called me a lier, and acused me of making up fake statments and adding the purchace anount they were charging to the bill my self. That there were no such 35.00 purchase payments on by bill.
Well i hung up and filed complaints with the ftc, and several other government offices.
To everyone who i hope reads this:
In order for the ftc or any goverment office to do any thing to the companies who are riping us off please call or go on line an make a formal complaint to these offices. They cant do any thing to help if they are not aware of the problem. So no matter how small or big the problem is file a complaint it only take about 20 minutes. They can not help you if they do not know
there is a problem.
