I worked for Dell for several years, after being recruited by them persistantly. I had heard horror stories, but the $ they threw at me was too hard to turn down. Then, after doing a fantastic job for them, was laid off when their precious profits were threatened.
When Mort Topfer was President, Dell produced fine machines and had excellent customer service. Then he retired and Michael brought in Kevin Rollins — a Morman Bishop who will stop at nothing to keep the stock price high.
The quality is at an all time low, the critical services are off-shored and Dell is a poorer company as a result. Nothing matters more than the stockholders and analysts. People are treated horribly, attempts at unionizing are threatened and the morale is terrible.
I can't believe Michael has allowed Kevin Rollins to destoy the company he worked so hard to establish. I firmly believe that if Kevin Rollins is shown the door, the company will improve its offerings and services considerably.
