I purchased a Seagate 160GB ATA Hard Drive at Fry's Outpost that offered a $40 rebate. I sent in the rebate form and all required documents requested on the form.
I received a postcard claiming my rebate had been invalidated by Seagate and that if I felt it in error, I had to call by 3/28/05. I called within the deadline and was told it was a system error and I would receive my rebate in 4-6 weeks. Apparently this is common practice.
I didn't receive it and called again on 5/30/05 and was told it would be sent within 15 days. I didn't receive it so called again on 6/15/05. They said it had not been processed but they would put urgent on it and I would receive it in 15 days. I didn't and called again on 7/05/05. They said that my tracking # 138884166 was invalid.
So here I am back to when I first called and they said they adjusted it. They then told me that I would have to call again in 7-10 days to find out why.
I am so frustrated. HELP!!! All I want is my $40 rebate!
