I developed my web site 12 years ago for Real Estate and Real Estate School. Unfortunately I now receive over 300 e-mails per day now that are handled pretty well by MailWash, Norton, etc.
Occasionally a jerk like Datanet Communications Inc slips through, as shown by an Invoice No. 1000-30479,2/27, from these nitwits, supposedly in Champlain, NY, in the amount of $359.95 - "Payable upon Receipt" for a "Web Listing". (I would never pay for a "Web Listing" and if I did it would have been paid online by Visa Classic - not "billed")
Obviously, they never answer their phone ("Leave a detailed message...") nor do they acknowledge nor answer faxes. I've already reported them to the NY State Attorney General and the local NY State Police (I don't think Champlain has police [? ]).
For right now I will only remain very angry; if it ever affects my credit then I will spend the time and money to go to Champlain (or, obviously, Montreal) and personally solve the issue. What the hell, at 74 years of age and as retired director of Academic Computing, CUNY, what do I have left but my reputation and good credit!
