Unicom ripoff, lies, scam, takes advantage of situations and people

I was looking into Internet payphones and was told byunicom and the salesman John Hollis about the profit of $250 - $500 dollars a month from these payphones. He also said that many avenues of revenue was being persued, like advertising on the LCD screen.

After going through the cost of the phone it seemed reasonable that they might make $300.00. They stated they would also have wireless built into them and have a 3 year warranty and they would help every step of the way. After hyping them up and producing news files of how great they would be doing I was deceiding to go ahead, but then I lost the job I had and was going to cancel.

So I call to cancel and they start talking to me about regular payphones and I could make up from $150 to $300 a month on them. Hey totally took advantage of my situation at this point knowing i was scared for not having a job.

So I end up using the savings I have and purchase 2 Internet phones that were I-Spectrums Web Phones and 10 regular phone at a total of about $34,000. Plus Locating and Installs.

The locating and Installs were the other ripoff. First the locating company has a guarantee on the sites, but they neet to be install by 30 days or that guarantee in null and void. The install company (USA Web Phone Installation) company did not even get them install till 2 months later.

That was the other part of the scam they had going on. Apparently Unicom, Joseph Gonzalez, President knew the owner Joe Beyley. Once I had all the phone I was hit with the cost to install which was $5,000 more than what i was told in the beginning, but what am I going to do I have the phones.

You can buy the regular payphones for $200.00 all day long on the Internet. They dont tell you the phone comapny charges $250.00 each site to drop a line and they barely make enough to cover the line charge. The Internet phones made a whopping $10.00 a month and i pulled them after 2 months.

Bottom line, stay away from Payphones, Web Phones and Unicom, Inc.
