I received a bill on Dec. 7, charging me $40 total for 2-4 minute visits to websites on days and times when no one was home, or the computer was not on.
I was also charged on my phone bill-$1.99 per minute for long distance charges to the United Kingdom.
I have just received my next phone bill to find another FOUR phone calls to the United Kingdom, which I DID NOT make. So I assume PPC will be sending me another bill as well.
I checked them out at the BBB—over 600 complaints filed, pending resolution.
BBB advised victims of this fraud to contact phone service providers and internet providers to set up blocks against further charges.
This company does not allow billing disputes over the phone—mail and e-mail only. They promise to answer within 40 days, but also promise to make additional late charges after 30 days of the invoice date. They also promise to sic a collection agency on me 30 days after the due date, allotting themselves 90 days to decide whether or not they are going to hold me liable for the charges. If you add up all the numbers, it comes out to SCREWED.
