I discovered that I have a type of spyware called the "minibug" supposedly associated with the "Weather Bug". I also have gain. Gator spyware and several other popular ones that are almost impossible to remove.
The NoAdware website states that it is very effective in removing these annoying types of spyware. WRONG!
My husband and I paid for 3 licenses because we have a total of 3 computers. After installing it, updating it and scanning our pc's, the spyware is STILL THERE!
My husband purchased this on the 20th, emailed for a refund around the 24th and got a message with info telling us to download the updated version (did that when we installed it) and to re scan our pc and so on. I was not happy with the response as these are all common sense procedures we did when installing the software.
I emailed them myself as my husband doesn't like to be rude and flat out told them that we wanted our money back (as they promise a 30 day money back guarantee) and we didn't want to bother with all the steps they told us because we did that previously. Guess what? I got the exact automated email telling me how to download the updated version, re scan my pc, etc.
So by me getting the exact email as he did (when I emailed them I stated that my husband already asked for a refund and we were no longer interested in using it because I also got viruses from the program) I knew that it was an automated response as I compared the emails side by side.
I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges as they have no intentions on refunding my money since they are sending out automated response emails. The credit card company said that I have to wait until the bill is issued on my credit card and dispute the charges and to save my emails from them.
