Single Parent Meet, aka Zencon Technologies, charged another $9.95 to my account after only 18 days of membership to their site. When I learned of the charge by receiving a $30 overdraft fee from my bank, I immediately had to cancel my account with them and demanded a refund.
Zencon refused, stating that I was aware of the membership agreement, and they also stated that they did not grant refunds. I was not aware of the 18-day membership. I also do not believe that it should be lawful for any entity to receive payment from someone's credit card or bank card without prior notification or permission, although it seems to be common practice today.
