I purchased a Toshiba Laptop in March from Circuit City and in 2003 I purchased the Extended Warranty from Circuit City for my laptop for 3 years at $220.00.
Earlier this year the dc port on the back of the laptop went bad so we sent it in to be repaired and the dc port was repaired but when we got it back the keyboard wouldn't type correctly and the dvd rom drive wouldn't work.
So a few months ago I called them to have the dvd rom fixed and also the dc port had gone bad again.
This time when we send it in to be repaired they tell us that they can't fix it because there has been a spill occur and they won't touch it. If there had been a spill occur in the laptop it would not have been working and it was working except for the dc port and the dvd rom which they had broken.
Well when they send the laptop back to us the case of the laptop is all cracked and broken from them screwing the screws too tight and now we can't even use the modem to dial up to the internet and it was working when we sent it into them. They will not touch my laptop until I have someone else clean up the spill inside of it.
Well I think this company is a giant farce that is filling up their pockets with alot of innocent peoples money and I think that a class action lawsuit should be filed against them. Now I have a laptop that is only 2 1/2 years old and I can't even use it because it won't work.
My next step is to contact the Illinois Attorney Generals office and make the company give me my full refund back that I paid in 2003.
