Ripoff, no reduction in balance and ongoing fraudulent late fees Gateway

I purchased a computer going on 3 years now and my balance has hardly budged. I noticed on my bill that I was receiving late fees no matter how far ahead I mailed my payment in so I thought I could resolve that problem by making automatic payments through my bank a few days ahead of my due date. But late charges kept being added on.

I contacted my bank and they advised me to move my payment schedule up even earlier so I did. Still late charges occurred. So I contacted Gateway and spoke to a representative who informed me that she was with citicorp the company that handles the financing for Gateway. I informed her of my problem and she informed me that the payments go to Gateway and then they send the payments to them.

This is crazy. No matter when I send my payment in either via mail or electronically I'm always a day (mind you a day) late and incur late charges. What a rip off. There is no facility I can physically walk into and hand over a payment to obtain a receipt to record the date received. Based on my plan agreement this should have been paid off in 18 months but my arrangements were made over the phone with a Gateway representative I never received anything in writing except my billing. If you're going to purchase a computer I don't advise using Gateway Easy Pay Plan its more like the NEVER ENDING RIPOFF PAYMENT PLAN.
