The Mouse's Pad
Ripoff I have a bill for 1200.00 and not even a monitor, an empty black box is just sitting on the table doing nothing

Went to the mouse's pad to add some ram to my home pc. I was told that I could get my windows millenimun edition uninstalled and put windows XP on it, plus add 256 mgs of ram for 250.00. When I took my pc into the store the next day. The price had gone up to 450.00 for the same service. I was talking to one of the attendants there and the other co-owner was building a desktop pc and I asked what they sold those for and he said 899.00 complete. So he said I would be better off not to spend all that money on my old one and to buy his that It was built to last forever and nothing had a faster processor than his self made one.

They took my credit card info and told me to come back in about an hour and my old one would have ram installed on it and my new one would be ready to take home. I went back in a hour and thay had without asking installed norton 2003 on my original pc. I told them that my norton was 2004 and it was still active, but they charged me 40.00 for outdated norton anyway and they installed the same disc of norton on the new set.

I asked how can they do that and they said they don't have to register it so it was the same as new. To make a long story short I took their new one back the next day. Still in the car because I felt like I had been ripped off royal. My bill came to 1,630.40. They said they didn't have a monitor to go with it so I could order a flat panel 17" and it would be in next week. But they refused to take their pc back and credit my credit card. Told me no refunds period.

I hooked their pc up (never online) to check the specs on it and it is a slow processor and they even cheated me out of 64 mgs of ram on the new pc. To this day I am still not going to use their pc I don't not want it and it makes me sick to think of how bad I got ripped off by this company.
