I used Wal Mart Connect for several months as my ISP. On the 1st of October I switched to a new ISP. I called Wal Mart Connect & asked them to cancel my service. I was told that I had 6 days left that I had already paid for & then my account would be cancelled. I removed all Wal Mart Connect programs from my computer that same day.
Two weeks later I got a letter saying "Thank you for agreeing to continue using Wal Mart Connect". I called the billing office & was told that my account was still active. I informed them that I had cancelled on the 1st of the month, that I had removed their program from my computer on that date, had not used it since & that I did not wish to be billed for service I had not recieved.
They were very polite but totally uncooperative. I asked to speak with a supervisor & recieved the same response. She said she would transfer my call to a representative who would cancel my account & then I was cut off.
On the reverse side of the letter I recieved was a form to fill out if I wished to cancel my service. I filled it out & mailed it to the address given.
I got my bank statement the other day & noticed that my checking account had been debited by Wal Mart connect for the month of October.
