Received a letter in October from the BayCare Health Systems which includes six of the best hospitals, imaging centers and ambulatory surgery centers in our area. They said I will not have access to any of their facilities starting November 26 because United has not only failed to pay on time, but in many cases, they failed to pay at all.
United left this company with unpaid bills totaling more than $11 million. I am now left to find new doctors and a hospital for the remainder of the year. I will also find another Medicare plan for next year that will allow me to continue with the excellent doctors and hospitals in the Baycare System! United should not deny claims for services my physicians feel are best for my health.
