My husband and I are regular customers at the Princeton-Kamloops Hwy Rexall in Kamloops, and, since it's opening, have been impressed by the service and professionalism of its staff. However, on Monday October 8, we were treated poorly by the pharmacist on duty, Catherine. We waited patiently, well over five minutes, at the front pharmacy desk to request our prescriptions and purchase some over the counter medicine as Catherine assisted another customer on the floor. Upon her return, she told us to move aside. Puzzled, we did as she asked. Catherine then shoved my driver's licence (sitting out for verification) and medicines aside and again told me to move so the other customer could use the credit key pad. We then realized that, although we had finished our shopping some time ago and were in the front of the line, like second class citizens, we were being thrown aside for someone who had just finished shopping and was second in line (in addition, this customer was not requesting anything from the pharmacy and, unlike us, could use any check out counter in the store). As the other customer departed, she apologized to us, clearly embarrassed by Catherine's behavior. I too informed Catherine that her actions were rude and unprofessional. Catherine was unapologetic, to say the least. It was a disappointing experience.
