This website popped up advertising the most amazing anti ageing creams. Words like "No risk Free Trial" popped up and "You only pay for postage" and explanations about the company being so confident about their product that they gladly distribute the free samples as they know customers will be back to order more once they realise how amazing the product is.
I recieved the "free sample" today and realised there was a mistake as a date was given for the next delivery. I decided to investigate and in the small print in conditions of sale (a page that one needs to call up and is not visible at the outset), I now see that by ordering the free sample, I have "agreed" to be locked into a subscription at exhorbitant prices, whereby creams will be sent to me every 3 months. I am compelled to pay for the next shipment (about R1600 or 192 USD). I can after the first shipment cancel the next shipment.
I contacted the company and they were quick to agree that I can send back the free sample to them in an unopened, unused condition whereby they will cancel future shipment. Now what if my parcel goes missing, or they deny that they received it. Or what if I had opened the free sample?
So, another unscrupulous internet sales company who rip off honest customers. Beware!
