I took my dog to a local vet (Dr. Leonard Fox) because he was having issues with his skin. The vet gave him some pills and shots and the bill was high ($174). We were due for a recheck, so I took him back in. The recheck was $25. While in the examining room, the vet suggested doing exactly what they did last time. I said it didn't work well and thought we should try something else. He said he needed to do an anal check and took my dog out of the room. When he came back he had other pills and said to try these instead. I asked if they were expensive and he said no. When I went to the front to pay, the girl said, "That'll be $111". I asked why the bill was so high. She said "$25 for office visit, $12.95 for anal check, $23.50 for pills, $22.50 x 2 for shots, and $4.94 for waste disposal". I said I wasn't told about the shots and had no idea he was even given any. She went to talk to the doctor and came back and said, "He said leave the pills, pay for the office visit, and you can take your file". He never even came out to talk to me. I would hate for anyone to have to experience this horrible veterinarian who obviously cares so little about his patients or their owners.
