I purchased a Healthmaster Blender, Model# YD-2088E, that I used intermittently since 2010. I noticed on the bottom of the blender grease/oil residue. I called customer service and was told that the pitcher was defective but it was not under Warranty, just the motor was. I could purchase a Pitcher for $49.99 and free shipping and handling or purchase a 4 year warranty for $20, the pitcher would then be free, but S/H would be $24. Again the Customer Service person did say it is a Defective Pitcher, the bearings are bad. I understand if I broke the pitcher, but it is a known defect. Since it is a known defect I want it replaced. I am appalled at the scam they have going where either way they are pocketing close to $50 on a item they know to be defective. I would even be willing to pay the $20 for the extended warranty, if the pitcher would then be replaced at no charge and no S/H.
