Healthcare Advantage describes themselves as a company that is "educating and empowering" What their really doing is "pocketing and soliciting".
As a growing company, built on telling a customer what they need to hear, collecting their monthly premiums and only when their customers REALLY need a physician do they then find out what they have bought them selves into. Sure, they will tell you will find you a doctor (You could find the same doctor they find you in the yellow pages and then negotiate the 20% discount with the doctors office yourself as they do) Sure, you can use their mail order pharmacy (Did I mention its a public website that anyone could access member or not, better off going to a search engine and doing a search for mail order pharmacy) And yes, you do receive coverage if you have to go to the hospital (Oops, did I say coverage, sorry ment coverage that they will call the hospital and re-negotiate your hospital bill and get you a good maybe $350 off your $5000 bill, could you have done this aswell. Yup!)
Let's even state the accidental medical savings that you could get from the plan (hmmm. Lets see you pay how much again monthly, try going to a search engine and finding coverage for just accidental coverage and/or life insurance, you'll pay about $15 a month)
O.K. So now you know your getting Discounted Doctors, Prescription Coverage, Accidental Coverage and even some of their other little catch on yeah your covered benefits. Do you really feel like your honestly getting something for your money. The answer, sure but nothing you your self couldnt get for free and spending maybe $20 a month. You're just letting them do all the work for you, with NO GUARANTEES of SAVING ANYTHING!
Should we talk about their cancellation policies and your money back guarantee. Probally not I think we already know how GREAT their services REALLY are. So to sum it up, save yourself the trouble. Don't Sign up with that sales rep that promises you the world for you and or your family member who has that pre-exsisting condition or your wife who's about to have that baby... You'd be better off purchasing a membership to Costo, You ask why what could costco do for you... EXACTLY you see my point then, what CAN Healthcare Advantage do for you, other then get rich off their "Members".
As a former customer who has done more then a customer should have had to do with researching a company, my advise DONT BOTHER!!!
