I had ordered a 'free' 30 day supply of revicid & avlimil, under the conditionm that I pay only the s&h charges. When I ordered these products, I told the CSR that I DO NOT want to be enrolled in their 'managed care' plan, and under no circumstances did I want a membership. I only wanted the free trial offer and did not want to be under any further obligations.
This was back in march. Today, 05/10/04, I go to make a purchase on my credit card only to be denied, to my surprise. I called mastercard to try to find out what the problem was and they told me that a company named warner health care had placed a hold on my card for $70.00. I NEVER even heard of warner healthcare and my immediate reaction was that someone must have got a hold of my credit card #. Mastercard said they (warner healthcare) has made several attempts at trying to bill my card in the past but now it went through.
I got their # from mastercard and called them. The CSR said that my account was never "CANCELED", and they sent out another shipment this morning and charged my card 70 bucks. I argued w / her repeatedly, and told her that I had canceled that 'managed care' membership. She said I didnt because it wasnt in her files. She asked me if I had a cancelation #. I told her that in all honesty the original 30 day free trial order i plaCED was a couple months ago and i dont know if I'd be able to find the paper I wrote it on. I asked to speak to her supervisor because she told me all she could do was make me two offers:
Those offers were a gift certificate for 150 dollars to spend on more of their products and 25 dollars credited back onto my card, OR credit my card $35 bucks which is a little then less of half of my money back b/c they dont have a refund policy.
I told her I didnt care about their 'policy' and that they, illegally put a charge on my card for something I NEVER ordered and NEVER wanted. And I never asked for. She just continued to ramble on, so I asked to speak to her supervisor.
She said she would transfer me to her, but she must warn me that her supervisor is only going to offer me the same two options that she just did.
A lady by the name of "Ronita" came on to the phone and I asked her what her title was. She said "im the lady you just talked to supervisor. I aksed her what was her last name, and she said "she doesnt give her last name out."
So I briefly told her what had happened and she rambled on the same thing the other lady did, and refused to take the charge off of my credit card. She said if I can find my cancelation # OR the name of the CSR who canceled my order, she would take the charges off.
So, i went home, dug through a bunch of papers and luckily, i found it. I called back with the cancelation number, and then I was told that the number I gave them doesnt look like one of their cancelation numbers. I told them that the same guy who originally took my order for the free 30 day trial, is also the one who CANCELED my so called membership. His name was Devon.
So, of course, this CSR gave me the run around and said that she cant find a supervisor right now, so whenever she finds one3, she'll let them know, and have them email me to find out whats going on.
Well, that was this morning and NO ONE has emailed me back at all. And I am absolutely furious. I want my money back, and I ant it now. I was deliberately ripped off, told off, and now im getting pushed to the side while all along these people are taking innocent peoples monies and getting rich off of ripping people off. Please help me. I really do not know where to turn.
Oh yeah, one more thing. When i didnt get anywhere with this "Ronita' lady who claimed she was a supervisor, I asked to speak to her boss. She told me that there is no one above her. I said, oh, your telling me that you are the big whyig, and theres NO ONE above you? She said 'yes I am, theres no one above me, im who you need to talk to". I didnt believe her, but with her arrogant attitude, I couldnt get anywhere with her.
I mean, I might as well had stood out on the street with a sign, who ever can reach me first can have a free 70 bucks. Just take it out of my hand. I feel robbed. Lied to, and taken advantage of. There MUST be something that a person can do. Dont card holders have any rights when it comes to situations like this? Please help.
