We've all seen the AFLAC commercials on TV, you get hurt and can't work, they pay you while you're off. Sounds good. I bought into it at work. I got hurt last summer and couldn't go back to work. Great, i have AFLAC!
Wrong! They bog you, your employer, and doctors down with so much paperwork it's rediculous! It has to be mailed across the country, after each individual fills out his part on the sheet. So you wait weeks. Maybe there wasn't any errors in your paperwork and you'll get a check in a few months. Will your bill collectors wait? Do you have extra money saved just in case? You better! If my husband and i hadn't put money away, we'd be homeless! Lucky for us the kids are grown! Don't buy into the scam!
Now, i have to deal with longterm disability, and it's even worse! I have waited 4 months for a tiny check to come in! But it's my money and i out waited them! It's a game! Be safe out there!
