In Jan. 2003 I received a letter from the Social Security Admin., this is part of the letter." We paid you $57,984.00 for March through December. Since we should have paid you $53,427.00 for March through December we paid you $4557.00 more than you were due.
We are reducing your monthly Social Security checks beginning March which is the first month you were entitled to both Social Security disability and public disability payments".
So for the last year they have been taking all but $7.00 dollars of my check to pay them back on the over payment.
BUT, the problem is, is that they NEVER paid me any of that money that they say they paid. I did not and have never received $57,984.00 from them. I have had my bank send in a written statement telling them that they did not receive that money. Social Security says they did pay it and the bank says they did'nt. I have had my congressman call them about this. His office has called them about 6 times and still nothing has been resolved. I can't even get them to respond to my appeal.
In the meantime I'm paying them back money that I didn't get.
To make matters worse, last week I received a letter from them stating that since I don't make enough per month to cover my medicare insurance (which starts in March) they are going to stop the payment on the remainded of my allotment and bill me for $532.00. So some how out of all of this they not only have taken all my disability checks from me but they also want me to pay them an extra $532.00.
If they say they owed me that money, I want it!
