As a woman, I was treated to a huge rip-off when I checked into Las Vegas Recovery Center.
They treated me as if I were a child, and called my family and husband when I would not cooperate with their weird program of silly information and faith healing stuff. The staff scream at you and bang on your door to wake you up. The food made me sick but they said it was me and not food poisoning. I know when I have food poisoning since I worked as a flight attendant overseas. The doctors called me a liar, and said I was going to die if I did not follow their strange advice. The detox medications also made me sick.
I was only going to stay for 30 days but they convinced me, or threatened me with death, if I did not stay at least another month. My insurance didnt pay for that, I had to.
The weird meetings at night at churches & other places for AA and NA were hostile and depressing.
LVRC is a rip off and a bad place to go for alcohol and drug treatment in my opinion.
