My wife joined Body of change at our local LA Fitness to supplement her marathon training schedule. All was well for the first 3 visits, but then the trouble started. Her initial trainer was promoted to a managerial position. The problem was, he didn't notify any of his clients he would no longer train them. Missed weekly standing appointments went on for 3 weeks and numerous phone calls were not returned, nor could anybody at the gym verify his whereabouts.
She was then pushed off to another trainer who was more concerned with his own workout than helping her on the machines. She asked for, and received, a better suited trainer. This worked for another 3 weeks before he started missing appointments or calling the house at 5:00 P.M. To leave a message cancelling the appointment
that night at 7:00 P.M.
He was also unable to return any phone calls left for him asking for an explanation. Last night was the final straw though. As my wife has now become accustomed to the trainers failing her in all respects, she made a point of looking into her trainers log book to see if he was even still a trainer at the gym. His book has been blank for the last 2 weeks! No calls... No messages returned, etc.
We asked to speak to the manager on hand to find out what was going on. She had no idea, and little concern for our dilema as evidenced by her lack of respect for us and engaging in a conversation with her friend while we stood there with our mouths open. She actually stopped talking to us in mid sentence to talk to her friend! I was stunned to read so many reports regarding BOC, but then again, if they treat others as they have treated my wife, I am not surprised.
