Received a package in the mail containing dermitage products that we never ordered. I called the 800 number and explained to them that we never placed the order and didn't want their product. I said I would return the product COD since I didn't think we should have to pay for shipping a product we never ordered. They refused the COD shipment offer and said that we would have to pay to ship since they did not consider this a fraudulent order.??? Excuse me? I just told them that we never placed the order and had cancelled the credit card number. Furthermore, the email address associated with the order ([email protected]) is NOT our email address. This information did not seem to bother the people at Dermitage. They suggested that I contact my local authorities. Brilliant. (please note sarcasm). We have received packages from other similar types of companies (overseas. Can't wait to pay for airmail shipping costs!) with the same type of marketing scam. (Same credit card number used; orders placed over the internet, with the same monthly fees if product not returned within 14 days). I wonder who Dermitage and these other companies are paying - the entity who stole the credit card number and used it to ship unwanted products to us, at exorbitant monthly fees.??? I would love to find out more information about these types of scams and go after the companies (like Dermitage) who perpetuate them.
