I own a medical spa and had previously bought a hair removal laser from Syneron. After 3 years, my warranty was expiring. They offered me another 3 year extension of the warranty for $20,000. I accepted at the time but only one month later changed my mind. I realized that there are much better hair removal lasers than Syneron's and that I could buy a used laser for the same price as Syneron's warranty. The Syneron laser I used was more painful and less effective than the Palomar Starlux that I switched to.
Not only did they refuse to let me go, they are taking me to court to get all the money they can! This is a company that makes money from selling equipment (that I think is over-priced) to doctors. I advise all doctors to learn from my experience and avoid Syneron.
