What do you do with a useless DON (Director of Nurses). She tells the night shift that she wants informants to tell her what is going on. Most of her staff are really lazy, i.E. The techs will not give the patients a fresh pitcher of water, they leave the patients for hours in their incontinent excretions. They don't want to take the vital signs (i.E. Blood pressures or temperatures). I watched them sit form 10:00 P.M. Until l: 00 A.M. They play on the computer for hours. The final strw for me was when a male nurse says, "Stick it in your mouth and eat it!" Imagine someone in the health care field sayhing something like that! So this DON tries to cover up for him and tells me she has had a complaint about me. She brags to the staff in several Town Hall meetings that "In Texas an employee can be fired for no reason at all. Employees have no right. The hospital can terminate a person at any time!" Then she proceeds to tell us about unions and why we should avoid them. What a little Hitler we have here. And she calls herself a nurse and Diredtor of Nursing. I want justice!
