Complaint / Review
Aetna Specialty Pharmacy
Overcharged

Aetna Specialty Pharmacy is receiving me $3,098.01 to get a Synagis shot my boy never obtained (I've evidence they have the medicine) and $140 for an in-house nurse visit that never occurred.

This past year during insurance choice, Aetna was no further an option for health care insurance. I picked Kaiser after which approached Aetna, Sherwood medical, and our physicians to see them of the change.

Aetna claims that on 1/14, the "individual" accepted they deliver the Synagis medicine to Sherwood Medical (who'd deliver a nurse towards the home to manage the chance). Did I forget to say that my boy was 12 months 3 days old at that time?! How might he have authorized shipping of the medicine? He could not actually speak! After I described this for them, they stated that the individual that place in the accessibility might have been referring to another person within the home. The stark reality is they never obtained acceptance and created an accessibility which was an out-right rest.

Aetna's next state was they delivered the medicine to Sherwood Medical. After I approached Sherwood Medical, they advised me they did get the medicine, but after researching their documents (which confirmed that I told them concerning the change in insurance) they named Aetna to discover just how to reunite the Synagis, and delivered it via UPS (I've the advantages Shipping Bill and also the title of the individual at Aetna Specialty Pharmacy who approved and closed for that medications). Aetna stated they do not accept returned medication. Nevertheless when given evidence they did take it, they backpedaled and stated that they ruined it. Lies along with lies, and when again—why am I being charged for medicine I never receieved, that they have and possibly redistributed to a different individual.

I received the initial statement in May, and talked having a consultant on 4/24/08. A study was designed to occur and that I was said to be informed of the outcomes. The one thing that occurred was I received another statement.

Therefore, I named the Compensation Division (6/12/08)—again supplied them with all the info—again, and was informed the situation could be resubmitted to Quality Assurance for analysis, and somebody might contact me using the outcomes—again.

All that occurred was that I obtained another statement within the email, which not just has got the $3098.01 cost for that Synagis, a $140.00 cost was included on 4/25/08 (your day after my preliminary phone to Aetna Specialty Pharmacy), to get a nurse visit that NEVER occurred (Sherwood Medical may confirm for this).

I Have done my research:

I advised the insurance organization, the physician, Aetna Specialty Pharmacy, & Sherwood Medical of the change in insurance.

Used to do NOT provide Aetna Specialty Pharmacy acceptance to provide the Synagis to Sherwood Medical.

Our boy didn't get a chance from Aetna (Kaiser supplied him together with his January Synagis shot in the Kaiser Service (only a little overdue—1st weekend in February).

I've the advantages Delivery Bill which suggests that the Synagis was delivered to Aetna Specialty Pharmacy and authorized for by among their workers.

Therefore, why am I being charged for medicine they NEVERTHELESS have, as well as for a nurse visit that never occurred? I am delivering a duplicate of the notice to Clark Howard and also the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Aetna, Inc.

At this time, the cost is 3 months overdue. Therefore not just do I require them to prevent attempting to bill me for medicine they nevertheless have, I Will require them to get rid of whichever accessibility (ies) they've positioned on my credit history.

I am giving this notice wishing that obtaining the term out will create enough discussion that somebody will require curiosity and inform me-can be achieved to assist me using this chaos.
