I have been a repeat customer at Dolce and up until the last couple of weeks I was happy. First being the fact that I have been a customer to multiple massage therapists who were very talented and it is hard to find those these days. Each time I get use to a new therapist and I go to my appointment to find out that I am no longer scheduled with that therapist but someone who I don't know and I was never told of the change. When I find a therapist who is helpful I want that therapist, not another one that they stick me with. Each one I had been to was "no longer with us" or translation "has been fired" and I was given to another therapist. I voiced my concerns to the management only to be treated very rude and assured that it wouldn't happen again in a very condescending manner, I was then given to another therapist. I had finally found the best one at the spa, who I recently found out to be their most requested therapist and obviously the most talented. She was a very passionate employee and loved what she did. I was finally happy once again with the spa, that is until I found out today that she is now "no longer with us". Was she fired too? I was offered another therapist and I declined!
I recently found out that the managements has taken money away from the employees with their "specials." Don't get me wrong, I enjoy reduced prices but not at the expense of the employees who actually lose money from coupons, deals, and twitter specials that management comes up with. Imagine if we went to the grocery store and used coupons and they took it from the pay of the checker? This is basically stealing from the employees, and shows nothing but greed from the management considering they're the only ones actually making money from the "deals." I have heard from outside sources that the company is having trouble due to the recession that this is the reason for the specials, and that the employees aren't affected. My last couple of times I have noticed that they have began remodeling and redecorating the spa, and was puzzled as this is not the way a company in trouble behaves. Despite this I continued as a customer and tried to stay clear of these deals to help my therapists, and left good tips when I could. This spa is very good at being rude to customers, and ripping off their employees. It's obvious to me that the management, and everyone else in charge are incompetent and know nothing about running a business.
