Acai Berry Breeze And Colon Cleanse 3000
Fraud and Deceptive Advertisting / False claims, Charged $83.95 for "FREE" product

On Facebook I saw an ad for a remarkable weight loss herbal aid "promoted by Oprah", and promise of a FREE BOTTLE if only I would pay shipping/handling. I am wary of such offers, so I read the advertisement carefully. I read all the fine print, sure there was a 'catch' (like a monthly auto-ship). But, there was NOTHING like that in the ad, nor was there any mention of the true price of the products, only the promise of a completely "FREE" bottle of Acai Berry Breeze for only $4.95 S&H. They promoted the companion product, Colon Cleanse 3000 for the same offer. Again. I read ALL fine print carefully. No mention of a '14-day trial period after which I would be charged a whopping $83.95 EACH for those two stupid bottles of worthless $3 herbs!

Today I saw a total of $172.10 in charges to my debit card (funds stolen from my checking account) taken as 'payment' for these two 'free bottles'. I called the company (after a long period on hold) and the girl told me that "It was clearly marked in the terms/conditions when you filled out credit card info" that the bottles were just free for 14 days after which I would be charged if I did not cancel within that time. NO WHERE, AT ANY TIME, ONLINE or ON THE PRODUCT THEMSELVES WAS THIS INFORMATION PRINTED!

They flatly REFUSED to refund my $, simply saying I had agreed to this when I filled out the credit card info. They cancelled any future orders (for they were also intending to charge me this amount EACH MONTH), and sent an email notice of cancellation.in these emails they sent a LINK to a SUPPOSED list of the 'terms' I agreed to, as if to say, "See, dummy, here is what you agreed to."

I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS PAGE IN MY LIFE... Again... I read all items carefully looking for the 'catch'.. This was NOT displayed and this was NOT what I agreed to (or I would NOT have agreed to it!!!).

I have been looking at sites tonight advertising the SAME 'free bottle' of these products... On each page, the words 'free bottle' are written in bold letters over 5 times... And there are dozens of these Acai Berry Breeze sites. NO WHERE does it say anything about a '14-day free trial after which you will have to pay full price for these bottles, which is $83.95 each.'

I AM LOOKING FOR PARTNERS TO JOIN ME IN A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AGAINST THESE PEOPLE. Losing $172.10 to them is a bitter pill for someone on a fixed budget; that is a lot of money!

Also, my husband is a doctor of alternative medicine; he has a PHD in Clinical Nutrition and is an expert in herbal remedies; he looked at the ingredients in both of these worthless products (they dont work!) and he said 'that stuff should cost no more than 6 or 7 dollars...'. Yet, they are charging an incredible price of $83.95 per 60-capsule bottle!

If anyone would like to join in this class action suit please notify me ASAP.
