I had a consult with this surgeon who told me that i had to have two surgeries. Gallbladder surgery to remove a large polp on my gallbaldder, and a fundulm wrap around my throat for severe gerds. Dr. Baghai really tried to upsell me to do the fundulm surgery and professed how great she was and how she was better than any dr.in her practice. I asked her why my liver enzymes were high, she said it was because of the gallbladder. I opted to have gallbladder suregery with her.
Day of surgery she had 5 patients lined up, came in and said, wow, i have 5 surgeries today, YEAH! I informed her, as well as the dr.'s and nurses on the case that i have problems with going under and bladder issues not peeing able to pee. Had surgery at 9am, and remained in the hospital until 9pm still unable to pee. I had 9 glasses of water, and informed the nurse that i was very uncomfortable and to cath me. She told me she would have to call the dr. She called the dr., and she said to cath me and send me home. I had over 1000ml of urine taken out. The dr. Was fully aware of my issues with the bladder, and yet she still sent me home.
Next day, i was in terrible pain, and returned to the ER because of abdominal pain and still not urinating. I was told by the ER dr. That i should have been remained cath with my history, and that any desended bladder would never be able to pee on there own.
Dr MERCEDEH BAGHAI did not see me in the hospital the following day, her partner had to check in on me. He told me that she would call me. I never recieved a call from her, or her office post op. I asked for my post op report, which i determined was an incorrect report. She used a standard format for her report stating i had gallstones removed which i did not.
In retrospect, I should have used common sense not to go to this Dr. She was trying to upsale multiple surgeries with no diagonstic testing. She was fully informed of my complications, and allowed me to go home uncathed. I suffered great pain, and as a result have ongoing bladder issues that are unresolved. If you know of this Dr., Please make sure to take the time to inform people of her negligence! I have sent mine to the medical board as well as speak with the directors of medical care and nursing care. They of course wrote off my fees, and apologized for such negligence regarding this Dr.
